Far Away From Home

Transiting to the UK from a small country like Nepal was a challenging experience for me, especially in the terms of understanding belongingness in a new country. The struggle to find oneself and connect with new environment and culture led me to explore the perception of belongingness among people, mostly international students who are struggling to find a safe space away from home.

This project focuses on the stories and experiences of Nepalese who are residing out of Nepal. The stories collected follow a visual narrative which are presented through Cyanotype prints, Riso prints and Projection.
